Total Secure LLC, an ITC Approved (Integrated Transport Center Abu Dhabi) fitment center for GPS Tracker devices, was contracted to install 85 GPS devices for a fleet of vehicles operated by one of our esteemed clients. These vehicles are used to transport employees, and as per the regulatory requirements of Abu Dhabi, any vehicle used for passenger transport must have a GPS device installed, along with a GPS calibration certificate before the vehicle can pass the inspection at the Vehicle Passing Center.
The client required the installation of GPS devices across their fleet to comply with these regulations and avoid penalties. Failure to comply with this requirement would result in fines of up to 1000 AED per vehicle. The challenge was to complete the installation, calibration, and permit issuance in a tight timeframe of just 3 working days.
Scope of Work:
- GPS Tracking Device Installation: We were tasked with installing 85 GPS Tracking devices across a fleet of vehicles, ensuring that each device was correctly fitted and calibrated according to the ITC guidelines.
- GPS Calibration Certificate: After installation, a GPS calibration certificate needed to be generated for each vehicle. This certificate is a mandatory requirement for vehicles to pass inspection at the Vehicle Passing Center.
- Vehicle Permit Issuance: The final step was to ensure that each vehicle received a valid vehicle permit, which could only be issued once the GPS installation and calibration were confirmed.
